    St. Louis Galleria

Saint Louis Galleria offers local residents and visitors to the area more than 165 of the hottest retail brands and restaurants in the country, over 25 of which are exclusive to the market.

The Dillard's, Macy's and Nordstrom department stores complement outstanding retailers such as Anthropologie, the Disney Store, Free People, Lacoste, LUSH, Microsoft, Restoration Hardware, Tommy Bahama and West Elm. The center’s restaurant lineup includes California Pizza Kitchen, The Cheesecake Factory, Nordstrom Cafe Bistro, Saint Louis Bread Company and Weber Grill Restaurant.

The shopping center is one of  the top tourist destinations in St. Louis, with approximately 13% of its annual traffic coming from out-of-town guests. It's located one mile from the prestigious Clayton central business district, which boasts approximately 30,000 employees and a daily in/out population of approximately 80,000.

The region's largest food chain, Schnuck Markets operates about 100 stores, two-thirds of which are in the St. Louis area. The other stores dot Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, and Wisconsin. All stores offer a full line of groceries and 95% of them boast pharmacies. Other services include Redbox video rentals, in-store banking, and florist shops. While most stores operate under the Schnuck banner, the company also runs about half a dozen Logli supermarkets in Illinois and Wisconsin, and a specialty pharmacy. Founded in 1939, the company is owned by the Schnuck family and run by CEO Scott Schnuck and president and COO Todd Schnuck.

After building their family empire and gaining enormous profits in minority communities, the Schnucks family has abandoned those very same communities for greener pastures in affluent areas. By closing at least five profitable stores without regard for the voids that they create,  the Schnucks corporations have created Food Deserts in areas where fresh food is needed the most. Food deserts by definition are communities vapid of fresh fruit, vegetables, and other healthful wholefoods, usually found in impoverished areas.

Schnucks is also the largest contributor to the Republican Party of any grocer.
